Ready Player One

Ready Player One - Ernest Cline I think my review will have to wait until I regain the power of speech.

This book did my fangirl heart good. It's been a long time since I've had such a fun, satisfying escape.

I only recommend it for people who love late 20th century video games, movies, music, TV shows and roleplaying games. I feel like I should qualify for a continuing ed credit in 80's Pop Culture 101 now.

I think the narrator, Wil Wheaton, contributed at least half a star, probably a whole one. There are a lot of little infodumps along the way (parts where the author gives the background of a game or an author) and he made those just as interesting as the main plot.
